ABBA, famous for hits such as 'Dancing Queen', 'Mamma Mia', 'Knowing Me, Knowing You' and 'The Winner Takes It All', were active in the period 1972-1982. The first group from their native Sweden to achieve global success, they consisted of Agnetha Fältskog (vocals), Björn Ulvaeus (guitar, vocals, song writing, production), Benny Andersson (keyboards, vocals, song writing, production) and Anni-Frid Lyngstad (vocals), their group name being an acronym of the four members' first names.

The 28-million selling hits compilation ABBA Gold kick-started a revival for the group in the 1990s, and today these Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees are regarded as one of the all-time classic pop acts.
